Step-by-step Guide
Preparation
- Blend all the ingredients until a homogeneous and smooth dough is obtained.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC for 10 minutes.
- Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 45 minutes so it hardens slightly.
- Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper until you get a sheet approximately 0.5 cm thick.
- Cut it into pieces of the desired size using an appropriate cutter.
- Bake the pieces in the oven, first at 160ºC for 15 minutes, and then lower the temperature to 140ºC and bake for another 15 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Allow the pieces to cool completely before handling or serving.
Recommendations & Tricks
- Ensure that the butter is at room temperature and in a softened state before you start mixing; this will make it easier to integrate with the other ingredients.
- Measure the flour carefully, using a kitchen scale to ensure exact proportions, and sift it along with the baking powder to achieve a lighter dough.
- Once the cookies are baked and completely cooled, store them in an airtight container in a cool and dry place to maintain their freshness and texture.
- Preheat the oven to the indicated temperature before placing the cookies in, to ensure even baking from the start.
- Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat on the tray to prevent the cookies from sticking and to make cleanup easier.
