Step-by-step Guide

If you want to make a decorative glaze

  • Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat for approximately 3 minutes, or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the honey and lemon extract to the saucepan, stirring well. Turn off the heat and let the glaze sit. If necessary, reheat the glaze when the bread is about to come out of the oven.
  • When you remove the bread from the oven, immediately brush it with the hot glaze and sprinkle the sesame seeds evenly over the top.
  • Allow the bread to cool for at least one hour on a wire rack to ensure proper aeration.
Recommendations & Tricks
  • To ensure a smooth and fluffy texture, make sure that the milk is at the indicated temperature (32ºC-38ºC) before adding it to the dough; this will help the yeast to activate properly.
  • When working with the dough, apply a light oil to your hands to prevent it from sticking and to allow you to handle it better.
  • Once the bread is cooked and cooled, store it wrapped in a clean kitchen cloth to maintain its freshness and prevent it from drying out too quickly.
